Indian Springs is Georgia’s first state park and one of the oldest state parks in the US. It is known for the waters which claim to have healing properties. I’m not sure about the water, but any time I can get out in nature and hike in Georgia’s well maintained state parks, I do feel a calming sense. There is a museum in the park that provides the history of the park and springs. Being a hiker, the highlight for me was the Multi-use trail located just outside of the park. You can park in a field directly beside the entrance of the park for access to the trailhead. It is a very well maintained trail with clear mile markers and it follows a lake for the majority of it. 3.25 miles one way takes you to the start of the Dauset trail system. This is where I stopped and turned around. This trail is frequently used by mountain bikers. It wasn’t overly crowded and perfect for exploring during Covid on a Saturday in December. Pictures below are from the Multi-use trail.

5$ day use fee or annual passes available for entrance into all of Georgia’s state parks. It did appear that parking in the field right outside the park to access the multi-use trail was free.
Address: 678 Lake Clark Road, Flovilla, GA
