Vogel State Park in Blairsville, Georgia

Vogel State Park surrounds a scenic lake located in Blairsville, GA at the base of Blood Mountain. It is one of GA’s most popular state parks. An easy 1 mile lake loop around Trahlyta Lake features a waterfall at the far end (Trahylta Falls). A nice, more moderate hike, is the Bear Hair Gap Trail (4.1 miles)-green blazes takes you over lower sections of Blood Mountain. Cottage rentals provide easy access to the trails and are a nice getaway weekend in north GA. 5$ parking for day use or a 50$ annual park pass provide access to all of GA’s state parks.
