View Four States From One Platform!

Brasstown Bald is Georgia’s highest mountain: 4,784 feet. Drive to the parking area and then hike .6 mile (short but moderately difficult) up to the viewing platform to enjoy the views of Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Parking fee: 5$. There is also a shuttle option.

Miles To Explore

There are several trails that start from the Brasstown Bald hiking area in addition to the hike to the summit.

Arkaquah Trail: 11 miles roundtrip

Jack’s Knob Foot Trail: 9 miles roundtrip

Wagon Train Foot Trail: AllTrails reports this as a 13.1 mile rountrip hike from the college town of Young Harris to Brasstown Bald and back

If you are lucky, you might even see some snow (a rare occurrence in GA)!
