Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park preserves a Civil War battlefield and includes multiple trails, a museum, and a visitor center with an orientation film. It is a nice outdoor escape in the Atlanta area. The Kennesaw Mountain Trail is .9 miles one way and offers nice views of the city.
Step Away From The Crowds
A 1 mile environmental trail was easy and a basic walk through the woods, but it was extremely peaceful and nice to step away from the crowds on the other trails.

A day pass to the park was 5$ and you can purchase this pass online.
According to the park’s website, more information regarding the Battle of Kennesaw can be viewed in a film that has multiple daily screenings in the visitor center.
